How To Use Ford's Adaptive Cruise Control

If you purchased a new Ford or plan on purchasing a new model with the available Adaptive Cruise Control feature, read on to see a step-by-step guide of how to use this safety-enhancing technology.

Adaptive Cruise Control is very user-friendly. All you have to do is hit the ON/OFF button located on your steering wheel, then accelerate to the speed you want to travel. Next, you hit the SET+ button on your wheel to set that speed in place. At this point you can take your foot off the accelerator and let the system take over.

Adaptive Cruise Control uses radar to detect the speed of cars traveling ahead of you, and unlike traditional cruise control, it can slow down when needed based on data collected from its radar technology. It can also speed back up to the set speed automatically when safe to do so.
